when staying at demi's place b&b.

revised March 2023;

Ed and I have been operating our bed and breakfast in Niagara-on-the-Lake since May 2014.  Each season we look forward to meeting new guests, as well as welcoming back some of our repeat guests. Over the years we have made some very nice friendships which seems to be what keeps us going. Covid was a very trying time for everyone, but we manage to adjust how we operate and hope to continue without too many obstacles this season.  Lets hope for a very good spring, summer, and fall 2023.

Once you have booked your reservation at demi’s place b&b, you will receive a confirmation email confirming your reservation, (If you do not receive a confirmation please call and let us know, we have a new booking system and we are still getting the bugs out) Please review our house and cancellation policy and be sure you understand all the new changes. Following these safety standards is for your safety, the safety of other guests as well as ourselves. We do reserve the right to request  both persons be fully vaccinated and boosted, if for some reason that is not the case, and you are not vaccinated, please check with us prior to making the booking.

If after you read our cancellation policy and you still want to cancel or alter your booking we allow a 24hr grace period from time of booking to change it.

Pre Arrival Reminder,  5 days prior to  your arrival you will receive an email confirming your booking, please review it and print out for your records.

On the day you check in:

Mask Mandates:  At this time we do not require guests wear a face mask, it is strictly up to the individual whether they wear one or not. We will advise you if this policy changes.

Use Hand Sanitizer: We have hand sanitizer accessible and encourage guests to use it when entering the house and touching high traffic areas in the house.

Extra Time for Cleaning: We are spacing our reservations farther apart than usual to allow us more time to clean and disinfect guests’ rooms. Our goal is to still have the same high standards you have been accustomed to.  We will be using cleaning products that may be sensitive to some individuals, but this is necessary to clean and disinfect.

Breakfast! Breakfast! Breakfast!

Typically, when staying in a b&b, guests look forward to meeting new people and lively conversation when sitting all together around the dining room table in the mornings. We always have freshly brewed coffee/teas in the mornings, fresh fruit, juice, bagels, croissants, banana bread, yogurt, and granola cereal, and a different entrée everyday, Waffles, French Toast, or Egg dishes.

For most B&B stays of 1-4 days, we will not be doing daily housekeeping.  We will freshen up towels and/amenities on request. Just let us know what you need. Any used glasses can be brought down to the dining room, and we will exchange them for fresh ones.

Guests Only:

Only guests who are booked at demi’s place are permitted in the house and on the grounds. In the past guests would occasionally invited friends to join them in the backyard gazebo for drinks, under the current situation we ask you to please refrain from this practice.

The hot tub is available to guests this season. Please ask us to open and close it for you.

If you become sick while on vacation:

If you are sick or have any symptoms (fever, sore throat, cough, trouble breathing, etc.) before or after you arrive, please notify us as soon as possible. There is a walk-in doctor's office in Virgil. Make sure you bring your Health card or if you are from outside Canada, you will have to pay when seen, you can later submit the payment to your travel insurance. No guests will be permitted to stay if they are demonstrating any COVID-19 symptoms.

We greatly appreciate you giving us the opportunity to share our home with you. If you wish to book both Festival, Falls and Vineyard rooms for one family group, please ask us about this possibility. If you need to cancel, we do suggest you convert your booking to a

Gift Certificate, they will never expire.  Your patience and understanding are appreciated as we evolve our business to ensure your ultimate health, safety, and comfort. Looking forward to making your visit as safe and comfortable as possible and while you are here, thank you for helping tourism return to NIAGARA-0N-THE-LAKE .

Please let us know if you have any concerns prior to booking, your safety is our concern.
